Before flying
Keep power banks in the cabin with terminals protected. Remove them if your bag is checked at the gate. Check the Wh rating and your airline’s restrictions, particularly above 100 Wh. A damaged or recalled battery must not be treated as an ordinary accessory.
2026 guidance is stricter
Current 2026 guidance includes a two-power-bank limit in the relevant framework and says power banks should not be recharged on board. Always check the airline because stricter rules can apply.
For phones, 10,000 mAh remains the sweet spot
It usually provides useful extra charges without becoming a brick. INIU, Anker Nano and Zolo follow this balance.
For laptops, watts matter before mAh
A USB-C laptop needs enough output power. Anker 25K and UGREEN 20K high-output models target that use, but are heavier and larger.
Built-in or separate cable
Built-in cables reduce forgotten accessories; removable cables are easier to replace if damaged. Choose based on which failure mode bothers you more.
Our rule
10K at 30–45 W for phone travel; 20–25K high-output only when you genuinely need to power a laptop. Do not buy huge capacity for the number alone.
