A nearly empty 200 ml bottle is still too large
The container capacity must be no more than 100 ml. Transfer essential products into small properly sealed containers instead of carrying family-size bottles.
Not every liquid looks obvious
Gel, toothpaste, cream, paste and aerosols generally fall under liquid/aerosol/gel rules. If uncertain, treat the item as a liquid to avoid surprises at screening.

Medicines and dietary needs have exemptions
The European Commission provides exemptions for liquids needed during the journey for medical or special dietary purposes, including baby food. Carry relevant supporting documentation where appropriate.
Reducing products beats miniaturising everything
For three days you probably do not need a miniature version of your entire bathroom. Keep what you actually use and rely on confirmed hotel amenities when appropriate.
Keep the pouch near the top
Security may require access to liquids. An accessible pouch prevents dismantling the entire bag.
Re-check your departure airport
Screening technology and local procedures can change. Even where newer scanners permit different handling, start from the official EU rule unless the airport clearly states otherwise.
How we work
We verify information, cite sources where relevant and date our updates. Prices, availability and rules that may change should always be checked again with the relevant source or service.
